Our story

Founded in 1973, Rentamar began by building luxury residential properties in uptown Barcelona. In the 1980s, we diversified into commercial property with the Entença 332 office building. In the 1990s, we played an important role in the development of l’Illa Diagonal shopping mall, then moved into hospitality with the construction of several hotels.

Along the way, and through the generations, we have continued to build not just properties but also knowledge and trust. Today Rentamar is contributing to the sector with new developments in the 22@ innovation district and beyond.

Why Rentamar?

What we do

Rentamar constructs and develops high-quality real estate assets in prime locations, using best practices and premium materials to meet the highest global standards of certification. All assets remain in our portfolio, so our priority is always to build mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with our clients.

Most of our projects are in Barcelona, where we were founded, although we are always open to opportunities in other markets.

By looking beyond short-term profit, we can find and create lasting value in our assets by fostering better relationships, setting higher quality standards and generating meaningful impact in our community. We know from experience that all these factors support each other. For example, by avoiding staff rotation, we retain our most talented people everywhere from the reception desk to management roles.
